Prison Ministry Tour January 2018

Ted Nellis

I was asked by former bank robber Ted Nellis if I’d do the music for this prison ministry tour. I met Ted in Moncton, NB one evening at the Harvest House Atlantic Ministries. I stopped in looking for some guys with muscles to help me pick up the snow plow I’d just purchased and put it on the back of my truck. My good friend, founder and lead pastor of Harvest House Atlantic Cal Maskery, said sure we’ll send some guys over after the service. So I stayed for the fellowship and the meeting. Cal invited me to sing during the service and afterwards Ted Nellis gave his testimony. Ted and I talked after that meeting and became friends and stayed in touch over the past couple of years or so. So…here we are heading out around Atlantic Canada to share the message of Jesus that sets prisoners free with New Life Prison Ministries. We should know, we’ve both been there.

Ted Nellis is a licensed minister, author, speaker and ministry leader. He’s also a husband, father and grandfather with a past as colourful as a fall landscape. He tells the story of his past and his “Journey To Redemption” in his book.

George Glover

George Glover was CEO and founder of Teen Challenge and is also apart of this New Life Prison Tour. In 1990, he founded the Teen Challenge Farm, set on 46 acres near London, Ontario. Teen Challenge relocated its residential program to the new site.

The organization has grown significantly since that time, and it currently operates six residential centres and referral offices in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada.

George Glover has played a vital role in the success of Teen Challenge for almost 40 years.

George is a familiar face as he’s appeared on 100 Huntley Street on different occasions. We’ve never met yet but have had conversations by phone. I’m excited to meet George and the rest of the team at New Life Prison Ministries on this tour. It will be a lot of fun getting to know them all better as we travel around atlantic Canada over the next few days. It’s amazing how the Lord aligns the dots to make things happen. I’m grateful!!
