The answer to the question many have been asking is “Yes”. I’m heading back to the studio to record the second album. The plane tickets are booked and producer BJ McKelvie and I will be in the air and heading back to Nashville on Feb. 10th.
My hope is that this album will capture the same diversity in the music as the first. However, this album should have a slightly different sound but will probably go unnoticed by some listeners. What I’m saying is that we’ve added Pat Buchanan to the band. Pat’s been around since albums were recorded on cassettes. Pat’s played for Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Trace Atkins and so many others too numerous to list. With that said, you can look forward to some very dynamic guitar riffs with Pat and JT Conflos. I’ll be sure to take some video. It’s not too often you see these two heavyweight guitarists together on the same project. Even Sarah Emily, the station director at OmniSounds, said she’s gotta see this.
Also, there will be two possibly three songs from this album which we’ve planned to release on main stream country radio stations in Canada. With this in mind, the messages are still positive and will carry the same truths as the first. Singles are also planned for Christian country in the US as well as Christian AC in Canada.
The album should be ready to be released sometime near the end of April 2012
- Mike Brignardello – Bassist – Mike was the session lead my last album “Invade My Soul”. I look forward to having Mike lead the musicians in the next studio session. He’s played for artists like Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, Micheal John Montgomery, Tracy Lawrence, Billy Rae Cyrus and even George Jones.
- Pat Buchanan – Guitar – Pat grabbing some soup for lunch in Nashville in 2010. Buchanan is an amazing guitarist. He’s toured the world with Hall & Oats and Canadian Cyndi Lauper back in the 80′s. Not many in Nashville would have a resume like this guy. Check him out with this tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdVI1Y09ymQ
- Me & BJ McKelvie – I hired BJ Mckelvie as my producer. I always knew that if I ever had the chance to make a record this was the guy I needed to see. This is a shot of us in the Icon room at Omni while I was laying down the vocals for Invade My Soul.
- StudioA – Alot of history in this place from Hank Williams Jr., Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Randy Travis and a whole host of other music icons
- Michael Rojas – Keys – Cut this guy loose and he’ll make those keys come alive! We never thought of it, but when we were recording “This Hard Heart” of the first album, Michael gets up and says, “Wait a minute, I’ll be right back”. So he leaves and comes back in with an accordian. Who ever thought? But it worked well for that song. Rojas has played for Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn and Lady Antebellum among others.
- JT Cornflos – Guitarist – JT Cornflos comes across real as a real quiet fella. Let me tell ya…his lead guitar is anything but quiet. This guy was born to play guitar. He’s played for Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley just to name a few. You might of heard tell of those guys. LOL
- Greg Morrow – Percussion – Greg told me that he got his big break when he drummed for Deana Carter with her hit “Strawberry Wine”. That song got him noticed which certainly led to where he is in his career today. He’s a session A studio musician who’s played for Leann Rimes and the Dixie Chicks.
- In The Studio – That’s Sarah Emily on the left. She manages the studio at Omnisounds. In the middle is Dave Buchanan. He’s a real talent behind all those buttons you see on the control panel. Super guy and sound technician. BJ McKelvie is on the right. He’s my producer who also has an incedible cd of his own. Every cut on his album received radio airplay. He also has an incredible testimony “To Hell and Back”.

I’ve heard of some of these musicians and they certainly are dynamic…….can’t wait to hear your new album..
