Letter from the Prime Minister

I was pleased to recieve an unexpected letter in the mail just the other day from Prime Minister Stephen Harper.  MP Tilly O’Neill-Gordon, Member of Parliament for Miramichi, had given the Prime Minister a copy of my debut album “Invade My Soul”.

He responded, “As a music lover and amateur artist, I enjoy nothing more than being introduced to new talent.  However, there is something particularly exciting about hearing a Canadian artist for the first time.  I look forward to sharing your CD with my wife, Laureen, and adding Invade My Soul to my personal media library.”

It’s not everyday you get a letter from the Prime Minister of Canada so I thought I would share this with all of you.

That is awesome…I do know that Prime Minister is a christian as he told the world in a news conference a few months ago. I am so thankful to your mom for giving us that gift of your cd and for your dad who gave us such a beautiful dog. We bought a new car and our old one still had your cd in the player. I searched everywhere for it. I called Ed Hamilton at Trevors Hyundai and told him…He made a special call to the guys who cleaned my other car and told them my Ted Lynch CD was still in it and that I needed it back. They brought it back to me 2 days later. I treat that cd like gold…Thank you so much…Maybe one day you can do a Christmas cd. Hugs and love to you and your family and especially to your mom…God bless you, Conni Larsen.

    Hey Ted,

Good for you. I am so happy that your doing what you enjoy. I remember one night around 20 years ago, you kept saying to me over and over. “Life is up to you, what you put in, is what you will get out”. Seems simple but at the time I was 18 and had just lost my Dad, and may have lost myself in pitty. It had a lasting effect on me and I still remember it today. Well I’m so glad that I learned that lesson, and even more glad to see you have success with it.
